HIMAST Alliance represents all those involved in the mid and short-term rental industry including cleaners, contractors, property managers, property owners and other small business owners.

By working together, we can stop harmful legislation that threatens our livelihoods. Here’s how you can help:

• Subscribe to our emails. The subscribe link can be found in our footer. This will ensure you find out about hearings and are able to testify, in person or in writing.
• Register on the State Capitol website to enable testimony submission. Watch this video to learn how.
• Prepare your testimony now. Tell your personal story of how your life in Hawai‘i will be impacted if they take away your ability to rent your unit or be employed in the short-term rental industry. You can easily cut and paste or attach a document to your testimony submission once the hearing is set.
• Call or email your district legislators. Look them up here. Communicate your concerns about these bills. As a constituent, you are very important to them.
• Ask others in the industry to also submit testimony. Personal stories from residents are best. To make it easy, here is a template you can customize: STR Supporter Testimony
• Reach out to residents and visiting contractors who have stayed in mid and short-term rentals. Displaced residents, military, traveling nurses, and emergency workers can share their personal stories using this template: STR Guest Testimony
